Having graduated magna cum laude from the University of California Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics, I am now ready to begin tutoring in earnest. I currently have two years of high school and college Math tutoring under my belt, and have worked with students on ACT and SAT preparation as well.My preferred subjects to tutor are Calculus, College Math, and Standardized Test Preparation. I find that these areas are best suited to my tutoring style. Because I utilize a calm demeanor to relax my students and enhance productivity, I find older students much easier to work with. Younger students usually need much more than a calm demeanor to help them focus! Still, even when working with older and more focused students, a tutor's methodology cannot be one-size-fits-all. Each student is an individual and has unique tastes and preferences. By continually revising my strategic approach, I enhance the chance of success. When I have some time to myself, I like to relax by watching sports and playing vintage computer games.
