Education

In 2010, I graduated from New York University with a Bachelor's in Social Work. I finished with a 3.4 GPA. Upon graduation, I joined Teach for American and moved to Los Angeles where I got my Master's in Special Education from Loyola Marymount in 2012 with a 3.94 GPA. With a lingering love of social work, I decided to also get my Master's in Social Work from University of Southern California in 2014, ending with a 4.0 GPA.

Experience

I have been a special education teacher in Title I charter schools in South LA for six years. Throughout high school and college, I tutored students with special needs and typical students as well. I spent significant time working in a residential treatment facility where I was everything from an aide to a substitute teacher.

Hobbies

Teaching is my passion and my calling. To me, it is all about the relationship that can be made with the child and family. I have found that even the most seemingly unmotivated student will become enthralled by education given the right teacher and circumstances. I love to help create that environment! Aside from that, I love to spend time with my family and pets.
