I was just granted the teaching privilege for a secondary special education position at Teach for America. I am so excited. I have an undying passion for learning and teaching. I also really love to help people, I work very hard, and I am dependable. I approach tutoring with integrity, making sure I always put my best into it. My experience in English teaching and special education has led me to believe that my role involves compassionately working with students and building relationships with them in the learning environment. I also build relationships with parents and colleagues. The foundation of these relationships is rooted in pride, wisdom, and respect. I am a graduate of University of Alabama, where I majored in Interdisciplinary Studies. I designed a curriculum at the school that would help me learn about international issues, social problems, and film studies. Now I can leverage my college experience with a master's degree from the University of Nevada in Las Vegas. I love working in a team setting but I am very independent as well. I love taking on leadership roles. I took every opportunity that existed in Alabama during my time there. I served many organizations, even at the level of president for a couple of them. I've been awarded with honors, but I am most interested in being rewarded by the impact I have on students' lives.
